About

Tiara wearing wordsmith Lady Ilaria is a storyteller.

Like chocolate with chilli – sweet with a touch of ‘what the fuck?!’

Drawing on her bizarre childhood, her varied experiences and her magnetic attraction for very strange people with tales to tell. She definitely has ‘one of those faces.’

Her stories are funny and warm with a touch of nostalgia and a pinch of pepper.

Ilaria’s work has been featured in Huffington Post UK and BBC Radio Manchester.

She performs at spoken word nights, comedy events and festivals.

She has developed a full length storytelling show for grown-ups with her wonderful producer, Micheal Jacob. The show is called ‘Lady Ilaria’s Drawers’ and has recently had a 4star review for it’s London run.

FAMILY STORYTELLING (this also features a rubber chicken but in a very, very different context)

Ilaria works as a family storyteller. Her family performances are funny, informal and suitable for all ages and settings. She has performed for Z-Arts, Salford Arts Theatre, Belladrum Festival, Libraries, schools, nurseries and has had commissions with spot on stories.

Here’s some quotes-

‘Ilaria is a fantastic storyteller, creating stories for the whole family – just on the right side of bonkers to keep children and adults alike entertained’…Roni Ellis Artistic Director Salford Arts Theatre

‘Ilaria’s performances are such a joy! Her characters are relatable and hilarious. Her puppets and props make her stories vivid and fun. Children will love the upbeat delivery and madcap action while grownups will appreciate well-observed characters such as sensible Albert the monkey who sorts out the council tax.
